The Japanese Financial Services Agency has announced the revision of a part of the Enforcement Regulations of the Money Lending Business Act. The revision aims to make it easier for victims of the Kumamoto earthquake to borrow from money lenders. Specifically, the revision includes the relaxation of loan procedures that are exempt from total quantity regulation and the relaxation of loan procedures when calculating annual income by combining the income of spouses.
